What is adoration?
Adoration is the practice of worshipping our Lord in the Eucharist outside the context of the Mass. The Sacred host is placed in a monstrance for the faithful to adore the Lord. It is a time of prayer spent before the blessed sacrament and we remain in silence as we open ourselves to Gods Graces. It is a centuries-old practice which ties into the teaching of Catholic Christianity: Jesus Christ is truly and completely present in the Eucharist. |
